Few days ago when I got home, Tiga didn’t come scurrying to me. This can only mean 2 things: he has done something naughty or he is sleeping and too lazy to move.

I scanned the house, doesn’t seem like anything amiss, so I searched his favourite sleeping spots — not there also.

There was not a sound from him. Very unusual.

Then finally I spotted him.

There he was, peeking out from the paperbag.

Trying to be a spy issit Tiga?! Body too big lah.. cannot make it.

Yesterday when I got home, he didn’t perform his receptionist duty again. I looked at the paperbag but he was not there. Then I walked closer to realise he has now gone inside of the paperbag.

Major family project 2008 was to take an updated family portrait since we are finally gathering in the same place for the first time in 2 years. Now that James and David has graduated, it’s time for them to don their gown/ charm chain for the shoot.

The last time we took was back in 2000, when I just came back from Melbourne, all fresh-faced and wrinkle-free.

Now?! *boohoo*

Ok let’s not start on that topic.

I can almost see WCIII (our photographer — www.lucaswong.com) shaking his head off cos on the day of shoot, my eye bags were so big you could almost put your one week’s grocery shopping from NTUC in, and my bloodshot eyes looked as if they got punched.

And all because WHY?!

The story goes that the day before — Sunday, I had to wake up early in the morning to go marketing with mom and dad in preparation for CNY. Bad! Very BAD for sleeping buddha — me!!

As a result: Early morning + Sunday + go wet market see fish and chicken = bloodshot eyes and big eye bags.

Gua gua~

The big family portrait is going to hang on the wall of our house for at least another half a decade. Big photo means clarity. Clarity means can see every single detail of the pipples in the photo.

Gaaah!
