Or so I thought. Heh.

I was reading Channelnews Asia website this morning when I came across this news — Typhoon Faxai heads for Tokyo.

I had to do a double take cos for a moment I thought how come even names for typhoons have to be so auspicious?! Then I realise no lah, it’s actually Faxai, which is a Laotian name for a woman.

Why must typhoons and hurricanes be named after women? Cos we are as ferocious as them?

Perhaps. Especially when provoked.

I was just looking at the calendar the other day and to my horror it’s already end October! I can’t remember what I’ve been up to but then again it felt like I’ve done alot of things. Am I making sense?

For one, I’ve gone back to the good old days of being a public transport commuter for about a month. Most torturous month ever. Call me spoilt but… it. Was. Torturous.

My social life reduced to almost none during that month. My daily routine would be home - work - home. With occasional stops at HarbourFront Centre or Compass Point for grocery shoppings.

In between the suffering, I did manage to go for a desperately needed weekend getaway in Langkawi. Tho the weather forecast was thunderstorms on those days I’m going to be there, God was kind, there was a day of sunshine afterall.

Then finally! The long awaited day! We welcome xiaohei!! =D

Mosquito said that after seeing my month-long depression, she couldn’t get use to me suddenly becoming so cheery after getting xiaohei.

As the saying goes: The warmth of summer can only be appreciated in the harsh cold of winter. I must say loud loud to xiaohei: I APPRECIATE YOU!!

Don’t ask me where the saying comes from, I can’t even remember who came up with it, this line was scribbled all over Lis, Grump and my poly lecture notes. Together with many other drawings.

Lectures are boring. Clearly.

Anyways, I’m so glad Friday is here. Work has been quite busy, social life back to normal with me being mobile again. Heh.

BUT I’m sick again. Within barely 2weeks of recovering from my previous flu attack. *shakes head*

Life tak balance lah, cos work suddenly become so busy.

I need bird nest, black chicken herbal soup and whatnots to make me stronger. Any kind souls?

my baby delivered
Xiaohei at 10km. Probably at the shiniest and cleanest ever it will be.

The objective of this guy is to get the lowest score possible. He managed to avoid all coins but 1 in level 8-1. His last move to win the last king is just ultimate — die together with the king (同归于尽)! ROFL!

Made in China by danzden.

Oh yes, mom and dad are having public holidays again, it’s China’s national day today.

They get to enjoy the best of both worlds in Hong Kong, public holidays for everything — Chinese festivals, ang moh festivals (eg: Easter, Christmas) and ofcos China national day.

So unfair!

Mom said in Singapore we have Hari Raya and Deepavali, but that is like only 3 public holidays lor! They have Chinese New Year’s Eve, Dumpling Festival, Mooncake Festival and Dumpling (sweet) Festival again LOR!! Just to name a few.. what is this man?!!

Anyways, happy holidays mom dad!!

Chinese take away by Ende.

It was on a train back from Dusseldorf to Eindhoven. A result of too much within too short a timeframe. I wasn’t in my best of moods and I didn’t try to hide it.

With my refusal to obey, she fumed and went on to seek directions herself with her very limited English in a place where English is not the first language.

She got what she wanted, sat down in a huff and started her lecture.

Mid way through her nagging I snapped and yelled at her to stop.

Oh yes we yelled and shouted at each other. Fortunately for the other passengers, the train was segmentated into cabins, we were in a cabin by ourselves, but the noise could not be contained.

Passengers on the train must be wondering if these 2 Chinese women had gone berserk with the outburst. It didn’t last very long, but it was enough.

With emotions running high, words that came out were sharp and blunt. But funny how admist all the shouting only did both of us hear each other.

Sobering session for both of us.

It ended well with her finally asking what she has been wanting to ask and me clearing up all her presumptions.

I hear you mom. Thanks for telling me. Tho you might feel it came too late, but better late than never.

I like what was being shared during combined Sabbath School 2 weeks ago, about why we tend to shout when we are quarrelling and whisper ever so softly when in love.

We fail in our ability to hear each other when the distance of our hearts is far apart.
