As mentioned, my old big spacious ice-cubes self-producing fridge has kong kar kiao-ed. We now survive on a much smaller 2-door (1 normal section, 1 freezer) fridge.

I’m not complaining, infact I’m really thankful we have a working fridge. However despite the fact that we have already thrown out many expired and spoilt things from the previous fridge, this current small fridge is still overflowing with stuff. I don’t know why?!!

Plus there are still things left unsqueezed into the fridge, they now sit on the kitchen benchtop, looking totally lost and out of place.

Everytime I open the fridge I have the impulsion to throw out everything (almost), it’s just so, cluttered with junk. I’ll get around to do it, one day.

Now I just need to get some ice-cube trays so we can make ice.

Pipples, have you watched this movie yet?!

Ya I know it’s musical and all that jazz, but it’s really good! I kid you not! I’m such a musical movie fanatic lately, first 881, now Hairspray. Hohoho!!

I assure you pipples, if not for the fabulous songs, amazing dance steps, retro hairstyle and dresses or just seeing how hideous John Travolta is as a woman (he should never never never attempt that ever again!), there is at least one other good reason to watch.

This.

There are bound to be a few moments in life where you would wonder what came over you to let yourself get into such a situation. After which, still happily pay for it.

Visiting the dentist would be one of them.

As I lay on the dentist chair with the screeching tool hitting a sensitive tooth, I cringed and rolled my eyes thinking to myself, “Why the @#$% am I doing this to myself?!!”

I’ve never had any good impression of dental sessions, all thanks to the super fierce missy who would ask us to open our mouths WIDE WIDE, during the accursed mandatory dental visits in primary school.

Already open very wide liao, how to open wider?! Then so rough somemore cleaning our teeth while scolding loudly, “Got brush teeth anot?! How come teeth so yellow?!! Haiyo got tooth decay liao ah!!”

That was definitely a truamatising experience that scarred our little fragile minds.

Everytime when another student come to your class calling you down for the dental session, you feel like you’ve been called for the death roll.

Hated it.

Now different ofcos, pay one dentist ofcos nicer to you and more gentle. Old already must take good care of teeth lah bobian, else all the teeth fall out how?!

Can’t beat them, might as well join them.

It drizzled non-stop and at times poured mercilessly during the first 2 days of our trip in Phuket. Poncho became our best friend, tho it made us looked like rubbish collectors.

Raining? No matter. We are very good at 苦中作乐. Hehe!!

Yeps, after all these years (about 7 or 8 I think) of non-servicing/ maintenance/ taking care, my wonderful fridge of ability to self produce ice-cubes with ice-water on tap has finally given up its last breathe and officially kong kar kiao-ed (translate: died).

It couldn’t have chosen a better time then when mom and dad are back for their summer break, cos if it broke down while I’m alone, which it did threatened to do so a few times, I would just throw out everything in the fridge and survive fridge-less. Till mom and dad comes back.

Anyways, it refused to work anymore on Sunday and we had to clear out everything, which ofcos turned bad over the 1 day and 1 night without fridge.

In a way it’s good actually, forced us to do some spring cleaning of the fridge. It seriously has too much expired junk in it — including 2 rows of eggs.

I can’t remember when they were bought, after sometime I reckoned it’s best not to eat them, but I didn’t throw them out either. I just left them there, as part of the decoration in the fridge, like y’all know, pretending there are “food” in the fridge lah.

Thankfully to Auntie Tan (mom’s buddy), we managed to get a 2nd hand fridge at only $50. Coolness. She even helped delivered the fridge to our place.

When I got home on Monday after the 2nd hand fridge was delivered, I almost couldn’t squeeze past the 2 fridges to get into the laundry room. My kitchen became SO cramp.

It’s going to be major works moving out the old fridge I know cos it’s huge and the doorway is small. I heard they had to dismantle the fridge doors before moving in 7/8 years ago. Sweat!

However last night when I got back, I was surprised to see that the old fridge is gone. My kitchen suddenly so spacious! Yay!

Then this morning when I went out the door to work, I saw the old fridge standing guard at the staircase outside my house. Power!! My dad and brother are Superman and Superboy.

Learning how to park outside the lot by danzden.

First I want to make a disclaimer — this is not the usual lot I park at office.

Did not realise how off I am until I got out of my car and look back at the lot. I was so close to the fire hose on the right I had difficulty getting out of the car. -_-!

Did not bothered to re-park cos in the words of Mr Tan, “There are only a few more hours to knocking off, so nevermind lah.”

But… everyone who happen to pass by this lot will recognise my car and remember my horrible parking skills leh. Haiz. Nairmind lah hor, I’m a woman driver mah, it’s like this one lah. Haha!!

Always in awe at my ability to amaze myself.
