Slow Food Movement

Anyways, after the unique *air quotes* graduation dinner, Dave and his gang met for a more decent dinner at a restaurant at Eindhoven Central on Saturday night. It was a Western restaurant serving 3-course meal.
Light was rather dim in the restaurant so I reckon Dutch people likes to eat in the dark. More lomantic perhaps?
We placed our orders at around 8.30pm, quite late already right to start dinner so obviously everyone was famished.
First dish is salad and it came about 9pm. That’s 30mins after ordering. It was gone in a blink and I was so busy wolfing down the salad I forgot to take a pix of it.
Next up is the main course, which came at like 10pm. A good 1hour after salad. And us being good Singaporeans, started complaining. Apparently cos there were 11 of us, they had wanted to wait for all the dishes to be ready and serve together.
Ok that’s good and fine, but seriously?!! 1hour of waiting time?!!
By the time main course arrive, the boys were at fainting point and maybe a little drunk cos they have been drinking wine non-stop. Too hungry liao.
As for me, I’m feeling a little full from the salad and all the cups of mineral water.. NOT!!

Those white thingies are baby onions.
Mom, Dave and me ordered the same main course, it’s some beef casserole thingy. It tasted alright, we were probably too hungry and chomped down things too fast to taste anything.
Thankfully the main course came with free flow basket of fries, which are really nice cos they are fresh and chunky. The boys ofcos gladly asked for refills.
Main course was wiped out in like 15mins to 20mins tops, mothers included. It’s a hungry mob you know.
Dessert took another 20mins to arrive. By the time mine came, the ice-cream was already melting half-way. *shakes head*
We finally foot the bill and left the restaurant at almost 11pm. Thank goodness the company was good, that made all the waiting so much more bearable.
Slow food anyone?
