Woke up in time yesterday to watch the live telecast of Swatch FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour, first time in Singapore.

I’ve always love watching beach volleyball, tho I’m not much of a player myself cos the sand is too hot and I’m too short to jump high enough to manage any decent spike (excuses excuses).

But I seriously suspect the players are aliens. I mean here I am, sitting in my living room with the fan in my face and yet I already feel the heat is quite unbearable, while those players are out in the sun, stepping on sorching sand and yet they can still jump effortlessly to spike or dive around the court doing digs. Confirm aliens right?!!

This is some serious physically demanding sports, no?

But hor.

You know how the players (women) would wear bra tops plus bikini bottoms, I mean it’s totally understandable — the weather is so hot and who likes ugly tan lines?!

Ok that’s besides my point, what puzzles me is that how can the players’ bodies be in such “unsporty” shape when they are playing such a demanding sports?

Some of them do have washboard tummy but some tummies are just a little too paunchy to believe they belong to top notch beach volleyball players. Oh well, as long as they are good and win right?

It was the bronze and gold medal matches being telecasted. Brazil won in the end and I fell asleep while waiting for the prize presentation ceremony — a mere 3hours after I woke up. It’s the flu medicine I tell you.

So guess what? I slept too much I woke up in the middle of last night, not able to fall asleep again. What is this man?!!
