Last Saturday, by accident Khim and I caught the Singapore vs Malaysia ASEAN Football Championship 2nd leg semifinal game.

We hardly know any players of the Singapore team now. Before Singapore was booted out of Malaysia Cup, which was like gasp! more than 10 years ago, our secondary school gang would know every single players by name, each have our own favourite players, support them when they play at the National Stadium, tear New Paper into pieces and throw them in the air when it’s our turn to stand up for the kallang wave. Those were the good old days.

We contemplated whether to relive those days by going to support them at the 1st leg final game against Thailand tonight at the National Stadium, but we contemplated too long. Tickets were all sold out.

I know some of us will be watching the game on TV tonight. I can still feel the thrill.
