So there we were, remaining stubbornly in our seats, watching for the first time ever, all the credits to finish, just cos we heard there’s something to wait for at the end of the credit roll.

Together with us waiting were youngsters, most older audience has rushed off the moment the first line of credit appeared. It was evident cos we were the only car that drove out of the carpark despite 1/4 of the cinema staying back for the last bit.

After the last bit was shown, there was silence, followed by an almost unison “Is that all?!!”. Oh well, indeed that was all.

If you’ve missed it, you can watch it here [via faith-t]. [Update: Oops! The YouTube link was removed cos Twentieth Century Fox not happy never ask their permission.]

Lastly, I have one question: why is angel boy featured so prominently on the movie poster when he really didn’t appear that much in the movie?

Was watching a program on World Cup 2002 on cable the other day and was reminded of this young (only 21 years old back in 2002) and super cute Spanish goalkeeper — Iker Casillas. Who cares how we should pronouce his name?! Most importantly he is yummy!

Ya I know the Italy team is full of goodlooking dudes too, but they are kind of too chiselled and manly for my liking, I prefer cutsy boyish looks. Keke.. Now, now, that is enough reason for me to watch the soon coming World Cup.

Yes, the pace has quicken and time seemed to be running out. Months back the bride-to-be (aka Kat) nonchalantly told me she has got nothing to do, all there is needed to be done has been taken care of.

Ya right!

Now with just 1 week to the big day, she is panicky and flustered cos her to-do list seemed endless. I laughed. She gave me the death stare and scorned me for not being empathetic towards her predicament.

She keeps saying she needs to lose weight so she’ll look nice in her wedding dresses but everytime I turn my head, I see her munching away at her desk. I told her such “dieting plan” is not suitable for brides-to-be. She calls it destressing. Simply incorrigible.

Then she tells me she is worried. I asked if she is worried about being fat and not fitting into the dresses. She said no but is worried she will balloon up after the wedding. I told her not to worry, for it will surely happen.

Anyways, what’s a wedding without the last minute mad rush?!! Like that then got the feeeel mah, right anot?

Adminstration Assistants, as the name define, is to help with things like filing, processing of paperwork and rescue us from all the administration headaches. But sometimes, they amazes us, in the strangest way with their system and ways of doing things. Following are 2 amazing individuals.

Story of C
C, an Admin Asst in my company, is in-charge of filing various financial request forms from clients. One day, Kat approached her to retrieve a form from a certain client. C told her she couldn’t find it. Kat asked for the file so she can look through the forms. To her horror, not only are the forms not filed according to dates, some are filed back to front and upside down! Apparently, forms are even filed in the wrong client files.

This problem was raised to the attention of her superior. She had a talk with C and asked what is the reason for her “filing sysem”. C simply replied, “I don’t wanna talk about it.” Her superior was left speechless. A warning letter was issued and C decided to resign.

Story of D
D, an Admin Asst in friend’s company, sets up a folder system for herself — indicating “In”, “Out” and “KIV”. One day, friend’s client called up complaining that his order has not arrived. Friend checked with D, and found the order form was left in the “In” folder, unprocessed. When asked why she did not process the order, D replied she forgotten.

D further explained she had depression previously and the doctor has advised that she cannot remember too many things, hence when she receives instructions, she should just listen and let it out the other ear. WTH?!!

Usually, greetings in emails to corporate clients begins with “Hi XXX” or “Hello XXX”. D greets her clients with a cheery “Aloha XXX!”. When friend tells her not to greet clients that way as it is not very professional, it fell on deaf ears.

Friend’s company uses instant messenger for easy communication with clients. Since it’s for work communication, names were used for the nick. D used Doraemon and insisted it to remain that way.

Exasperated friend asked if this is called age gap (her AA is 21 years old).

tiga & umbrella

On the rare occasion that requires me to utilise my umbrella, I would dry it at the balcony. Tiga would stroll along, sniff out the intruder and after satisfying himself with thorough examination, proceed to rest under the umbrella.
