MB and I saw the trailer for King Kong last week in cinema and we had a good laugh. Don’t get me wrong, King Kong is not a comedy but the elements that appeared in the trailer just made us laugh.

Timeline is 1930s. You see a familar vessel by the port, you exclaimed, “Titanic!!” Yup, it looks just like the doomed liner, or maybe all the liners at that era looks the same.

Nevermind the fact that the liner later got into trouble and ended up shipwrecked. Passengers were stranded on an island with unfriendly habitants, sounds like LOST, and the island looked abit like the set of LOTR (same director) .

Nevermind, nevermind, suddenly T-Rex from Jurassic Park appears! *facepalm*

Then for unknown reasons (not shown in trailer lah), King Kong ended up in New York (Mighty Joe Young) and did what he had to do — climb up the State Empire Building and do his chest banging thingy.

So you tell me, joke anot?
